I'm a teenage girl who wants to look for an adventure and take risks. Yet, I'm still timid and afraid, so I'm trying to overcome that. I am someone who can be netural and ignore the world, I can be pretty deep and dark actually.  I am someone who loves to figure out misteries and get to the truth. I am someone who tries to accomplish every little goal to actually believe that I did something good, and feel good about myself. I am someone who is just simply determined to life, I want to enter the real life, but I'm afraid to live in reality, I guess. I am someone who wants to make a change and a difference in the world. I am Mariafernanda Salazar, attending Cathedral City High School as a senior, in the Digital Arts Technology Academy (D.A.T.A.)​

 

Well, why do I create art? Well, art makes me feel very optimistic. I adore and desire the work of art so much. My mind and heart craves so much of it, that you have no idea. I might not look like physically the 'artsy fartsy' type, but intellectually and emotionally I am. In this case, photography is my talent, hobby, and life. The message I am trying to convey to the viewer is that, be who you are. Don't be so fearful and timid of utilizing and demonstrating your own knowledge and creativeness to the world. No one is really perfect, so don't worry about right or wrong answers for art. There is no such thing as that, in my opinion. However, criticism and judgement there is, but that is what we are mostly surrounded by in life. In other words, express yourself in art. My goals for the future is to be somebody, change someones life, and prove to humanity that art is everything.  People either don't realize that or don't appreciate it. So pretty much, I can't imagine myself without art at all. Especially music. So, really I’m really not the average girl you’d expect. I am someone who’s mind and imagination is utterly insane and eerie. You can not even imagine what goes on in my mind. You can never expect what kind of work of mine you’ll see...
